Tournament Conditions

Handicap: Games will be played on the handicap.
Straight Matches: The winning teams from each match on Saturday will play each other for the “Championship” on Sunday, while the losing teams from Saturday will play each other for the “Consolation” match. Ties will be broken by a shootout in which all players on a team participate. (Outdoor Rule 14.d)
Buzzer Beater: The “buzzer beater” rule will be in effect for all games (Outdoor Rule 14.b).
Umpire Horses: Each team is required to mount one umpire for 4 chukkers during their game (1 umpire horse minimum, 2 umpire horses recommended). Teams are responsible for tacking up, preparing, and bringing the umpire horses to the umpires prior to their game. Per USPA rules, umpire horses are required to be in a polo bridle including draw reins, and saddles must have an overgirth.
3rd Man: The sitting teams will provide one of their professional players to act as 3rd man in the match in which they are not playing.
Helmets: Per USPA rules, all players are required to wear a helmet that passes the NOCSAE standard. Anyone on horseback (grooms, etc.) must wear a standard or NOCSAE-certified helmet.
Spare Changes: Spare horse changes must be done on the end lines.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome but must be leashed at all times.
