Oak Bend Farm - Rules & Regulations
Welcome to Oak Bend Farm! We hope you enjoy your time here and are able to play/watch some fun, fast, and competitive polo. In preparation for the practice, please read the following:
Parking: When you arrive at OBF, enter through the black pipe gate. Follow the blacktop road ~0.4 miles until you come to a fork in the road just past the barn. Take the right fork and follow the road back to the grassy area. The corrals will be on your right and polo field on your left. Please park your trailer in the GREEN areas marked on the map below and keep the dirt/gravel roadway clear. Wherever possible, please park your rig perpendicular to the field to allow for the best use of shade under the trees. Spectator parking is available fieldside.
Waiver: Anyone who intends to ride a horse on the property must have a completed waiver on-file. Waiver: www.oakbendfarm.com/waiver
Proof of COGGINS / Vaccinations: In order to protect all players’ horses, we require any horse that enters the property to be current on COGGINS and annual vaccinations. If a player is unable to provide proof of current COGGINS and vaccinations they may be asked to leave the property.
Dogs: For the safety of all guests and players, all dogs must be kept on a leash.
Helmets: Certified equestrian or polo helmets must be worn by anyone riding a horse, anywhere on the property. Per USPA helmet rules, NOCSAE-compliant helmets are required in all actual games/tournaments (excluding practices).
Speed Limit: For the safety of all, please limit your speed to 10 MPH and remain on the blacktop (or indicated paths). Do not drive across the polo field.
Attire: Players should bring red, white, and blue colored polo shirts. Jeans are permitted for weekday practices, while whites are required for weekend practices and tournaments.
Culverts: For your own safety, please be aware of the two drainage culverts between the main field and stick & ball field.
Sportsmanship: Oak Bend Farm is a private, family-owned facility, and we take sportsmanship very seriously. Anyone who, at the sole discretion of the owners, is being disrespectful or dangerous to another player, groom, umpire, staff member, or horse, will be asked to immediately leave the property.
Most importantly, enjoy yourself, play polo, and have fun!
Regards,
The Ballards
